Eyeshadow

I love this eyeshadow on her because it is not too bold or cakey. Usually people use more than three eye shadows to make a smoky eye, or something like this. The three colors I used are silver, orange, and purple. I found this look on Pinterest, and it looked very bold on the girl. I decided to tone it down. This is subtle enough to be an everyday look, but sassy enough to be a “party” look.

Locks of Love

In a pervious post, I talked about donating my hair to Locks of Love. Last October I donated 12” of my hair. I wanted every little girl that has cancer to feel beautiful, not that they aren’t already. My grandfather died of cancer, I want to try and help find a cure. I don’t have the money to donate to cancer foundation, but at least I’m boosting their self-esteem.
I envisioned my hair to still being a little long after donating, but that was not the case. I cut it was the spur of the moment decision, cutting my hair My hair was long enough to go down my back, but once I cut my hair it was shoulder length. I do regret cutting my hair, but I do not regret donating it. I’m thankful for the opportunity to donate. Stay Strong to everyone fighting cancer!

French Fishtail

I love the fishtail braid because it is both casual and elegant. This is a regular French Fishtail and I love it. Sadly, I didn’t want to braid to be so tight-- I wanted the sides to droop a little, but it still looks good. My friend always picks out the hairstyle she wants me to try. She loved the look.

Pain Is Beauty

I should be leaving the island for surgery soon and I'm debating if I should get acrylic nails or not. They look absolutely amazing when you first get them, but it is a pain to get them off, literally. Ladies, why do we do this to ourselves? We pay all this money to get your nails looking good for a couples weeks, then we practically cry because of how painful it is to remove them, while saying, “I’m never getting these again!” We all know that’s not true; of course you’re going to get them again, because they are adorable!
Let’s talk about shoes now. For my birthday I got a pair of Louboutins, and oh my they hurt, but are gorgeous! I have so many heels and booties it is crazy! Being short gives me an excuse to buy more, and more heels. Although, when I wear my heels, by the end of the day, I need a foot massage. Like one of my friends says, “If the shoes look cute, you know they are painful.”
I’m not going to lie-- I go to school with sweat pants and a messy bun every morning. Recently, my school has changed the schedule-- instead of coming in at 9am, now we come in at 8am. I know a lot of other high schools start earlier, but I don’t know how girls can get “dolled-up” everyday, that early every morning. I love my sleep; I, personally, cannot wake up early anymore to put on makeup. It is a struggle because you are in a rush, and when you’re in a rush you mess up your eyeliner, now you’re tired and late for school. I will wear makeup and fix my hair on the weekends, that way I have more than an hour to get ready. Another struggle about makeup is trying to make your winged eyeliner even. I’m not sure if these are struggles for some other girls out there, but thank you for reading this far.
In my opinion, hair is the most difficult to deal with. I can’t tell you how many remedies I’ve tried in order to grow out my hair after donating it to Locks of Love. People always say short hair is easier; no I loved my long hair, because it was easier to curl, put in a pony, braid, and more. I think short hair, or medium length hair is harder to deal with, because you have all your baby hairs in the way. The hardest thing about hair, in general, is that we have to cut it frequently and some people go through the trouble of dying it.
Girls go through so much trouble to look their best. Some do it for guys and some do it for themselves. Looking good to please yourself is the best; you don’t have to live up anyone else’s expectations, but yourself. Doing your nails, hair, makeup, and getting new clothes and shoes is a great way to spoil yourself. Yes, it is a pain, but Pain is Beauty.

Hair

This look is very simple, not too much going on; it is an excellent casual look. All you need to do this hairstyle is two hairpieces. First, separate hair into two sections. Put one of the sections into a side pony and secure with first hairpiece. Then, separate the section that is not in a side pony, into three sections. Grab the top section of the three and twist it into the pony, no need to secure it with a hairpiece, just hold it with your hand. Finally, repeat that same motion to the last two sections, then secure with the second hairpiece.

Fishtail

On Pinterest I found a picture of two French fishtails braided into one fishtail, if that makes sense.  It is such a cute/useful look. You can use the style if you are being lazy and/or wanting to dress up. A lot of famous people use the classic fishtail with a nice dress, so why not upgrade it a little. I would recommend the look to people with long hair, although it would work for people with medium length hair. I haven’t tried this look on myself yet, but I’m sure it won’t be too hard. Her first braid is a little messy, because it was my first time trying it, but it still looks cute. I'm sure there is a tutorial to this look, but I just used the picture as a reference. If you know how to do a fishtail and a french braid, the you should be able to do this. If not, you can always comment and ask questions.  www.pinterest.com/
