Perm

I really wish perms would come back in style. I’ve always wanted one because I am tired of my straight hair. I know, eventually I would want my straight hair back. I know people with curly hair have to do a lot to keep their hair in control, but it is so beautiful! When curly hair does come back in style you will see me with the style! I just want some volume in my hair!

False Eyelashes

Thank you Pinterest for teaching me how to apply false eyelashes! If I can learn how to apply false eyelashes, then anyone can! I was so horrible at applying them. The false eyelash would be glued either half way off my eyelashes or half way up my eyelid. When I tell you I was bad, believe it. I was determined to learn how to apply false eyelashes because my eyelashes are not thick; they are long but not thick. I wanted my eyelashes to look thick, but I didn’t want to look like if I blinked too much I would fly away. If you ever need to learn something about makeup I would strongly suggest you get a Pinterest account. www.pinterest.com/

Headache Cures

Lets talk about headache cures because finals are hard! During this time people in school never get any sleep because of their finals. That is a big cause of my headaches. One cure I found helpful was to put your feet and hands in hot water, then put a bag of frozen peas, or an ice pack, on the back of your head, all at the same time. It works wonders! Other helpful tips are drinking water and getting a good night’s sleep will work, as well. I found this on www.pinterest.com/ .

Nails

I am really debating whether I should get my nails professionally done when I’m in the real world. I’m going to be spending a lot of money on my hair alone, but I do want to treat myself on my vacation, too. However, I don’t want to come home broke. Being a girl is so hard! I don’t know what I am going to do when I am out in the real world, but I will make sure I have fun! It will be a short vacation, but it will be well worth it.

Christmas Program

The Christmas program is today. Last night I did my makeup to practice because I haven’t worn makeup in a while. This is the look I think I’m going to go with because it is simple. You can’t tell in the picture, but this eye shadow looks really cakey, so I’m probably not going to use the same eye shadow, but I will use the same colors. I really like this look because it isn’t too much makeup. My makeup doesn’t look too heavy, or like I piled a ton of it on. I’m going to wear my hair in a bun with this look. I have the cutest red dress to go with it, and of course high heels. I’m so excited! I love dressing up, especially because we don’t get to as often as people in other places here.

Coconut Oil

I stopped using Coconut Oil for a month and my ends started to feel so dry. So I started using Coconut Oil again and my ends feel so much better. I have Coconut Oil in my hair right now! The “magic” Coconut Oil performs is amazing. I love it! I’ve been applying it to my whole head, but I put more oil on the ends of my hair because of how damaged it feels. Coconut Oil is going to melt in your hands, so when you apply it you want to apply as if it was hair gel. The length of your hair doesn’t matter because either way you want to cover your whole head with the oil. After applying the oil you can either clip your hair up or put it in a pony. I also massage my hair, meaning I run my fingers through my hair. I’ve been keeping the Coconut Oil in my hair for two to three hours. Then just wash the oil out with regular shampoo. It may take more then My hair always feels so full after I wash the oil out, too. Coconut Oil can do so many things, look it up on www.pinterest.com/ .

Whiter Nails

The best way to keep your nails white is to use toothpaste. You need a brush and whitening toothpaste. First put the toothpaste on your nails. Next use the brush and scrub underneath your nails. Finally wash your hands and your nails should be a lot whiter. I love this method because I always keep my nails long. If your nails are long and they look discolored I would suggest using this method. I found this on www.pinterest.com/ .

Bottom Eyeshadow

I really like eyeshadows with bold colors on the bottom of your eye. Most people do not like the bold colors on the bottom because if you do not apply it right it might look bad. I tried this look but sadly I didn’t take a picture because I have horrible lighting in my house. I liked the look but I think it was a little too dark for me. I found this look on www.pinterest.com/ .

Here are some tips to make the eyeshadow on the bottom not look so bad: One main thing that you can do is making sure you apply primer where you are going to apply the eyeshadow, and if you mess up use a makeup cleaner to wipe it off. Second, apply the eyeshadow as close to your bottom lash line as possible. You don’t want your eyeshadow to come down too far. I hope these tips helped you out! If you have any other tips please comment.

Christmas Gift

I want boots or booties for Christmas. As much as I love boots I only have three pairs of them. I have three pairs of booties, as well, but I want more! Boots/booties are so cute and they go with everything! I mean, you can never have too many shoes. So, family and friends reading this, you know what to get me.

Eyeshadow With Gold

I really like this eyeshadow! It looks so soft. The colors mesh together so well. I’m really into the gold, but I don’t have the right shade to master this look. The gold I have is way more yellow than this and it looks cakey when I apply it. I wish I had this gold because I’d be able to apply a lot more natural looks. Well, that gives me an excuse to make a Sephora order. I found this look on www.pinterest.com/ .

Bun With a Twist

I really like this bun because it has a twist to it. When you look at it from the front you think it is just a regular bun, but it is not. I’m going to have to try this some morning when I have enough time to do all of these little braids. I’ve been trying to find different up-do’s I can do because my hair is getting irritating. It is always in my way when I’m trying to be artistic and draw. I found this look on www.pinterest.com/ .

Hair Appointment

Today I’m going to make my appointment for my hair. I’m so excited because I am so ready to get rid of my orange hair color! I just hope to God that I find someone who will color my hair the way I want them to. The last time I dyed my hair I showed them pictures and explained to them what I wanted, but my hair still turned out orange. My hair has grown so much that my roots are showing more than ever; it is so embarrassing. I’m so happy that I have the opportunity to dye my hair.

Smooth Lips

If you want smooth lips when applying bold lipstick use this tip. Mix together one tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of sugar. After you mix the honey and sugar together rub it across your lips. This will make your lips so soft!  It will remove the dead skin from your lips. The idea of putting this on your lips may be disturbing but it will make you lips look so much better. Your lips won’t have the rough or chapped look. Trust me, sugar and honey or sugar and oil will help remove dead skin from anywhere. Sugar is a key ingredient because it can be used as an exfoliant. Sea salt is a popular exfoliant in body washes and body scrubs, but sugar may be the better choice because salt can absorb the moisture from your skin. Also, honey has many benefits when it comes to skincare. Most people have honey and sugar in their homes regularly, so this is an inexpensive and very convenient method of softening skin and lips. The ingredients are simple and chemical free! I found this at www.pinterest.com/ .

Blowout!

The other night I mastered the “blowout!” It looked amazing! I had so much volume. It looked like my hair was thick; I wish I had naturally thick hair and that’s why I wanted to master the blowout. The downside of the blowout was how many different hair products I had to use. I had mousse, hair spray, and heat protector in my hair. I thought my hair was just going to dry hard, and it wasn’t going to work. It was so time consuming as well. I don’t know if I can be one of those people who do a blowout  everyday. I found the directions on www.pinterest.com/ .

Saturday's Look

First I want to apologize for the quality of the picture-- my camera sucks. Last Saturday, before my eyebrows were too bad, I did my makeup and hair. I used a quarter inch wand to do spiral curls on my hair. I always do the winged eyeliner or the “cat eye” effect, whether I get it right on or not. This night I used green eyeshadow shades.  If I had a better camera and lighting, I’m sure you all would love this look. Because the eyeliner was so dark I used black eyeliner on my bottom waterline, which I usually don’t. I prefer white or nude eyeliner on my bottom waterline because it makes you look awake and makes your eyes brighter. The effect of using black eyeliner on your waterline is your eyes look smaller, they droop, and it makes you look older. I know every girl new to makeup uses black eyeliner on the bottom and sometimes they can’t stop because they think they look different. It was hard for me to break out of that habit, but I would recommend to the little girls just starting to use makeup not to use not to use black, but a lighter, brightening eyeliner instead!

Dramatic Winged Eyeliner

So the other day I did this really dramatic winged eyeliner, and it was even! I went to work feeling all pretty, like “yeah, I’m dolled up.” Sadly, when I got home I was missing a wing. One of the worst things that can happen to a girl! And no one mentioned to me that I was missing a wing. I’m never going to “fly” straight because, usually, by the end of the day, I only have one wing. Winged eyeliner and I have this love/hate relationship.

I lost my wing because of the wind. If there is just a hint of wind, my eyes will start watering like crazy. Like I’ve mentioned before, I don’t wear makeup as often as I used to, so most of the time I just rub my wing off without noticing because I'm not used to having them on. A couple tips to help keep your wing in tact are using waterproof eyeliner and dabbing your eyes not wiping them. What I mean is, if you’re like me and tear up if the slightest bit of wind hits your face, you don’t want to wipe your tears-- you want to dab the wet area with tissue.

Growing Out Bangs

If you are growing out your bangs, like I am, the best way to keep them out of your way is to do a waterfall braid halfway back. It is a great way to get you used to not having bangs anymore, as well. I don’t do this hairstyle as much as I want to because I never ever wake up early enough to do my hair, let alone my makeup. I am one of the girls who loves doing my hair and makeup but loathes sacrificing my sleep for it. My uncle and aunty are getting me a gift card to Sephora, so I just might start wearing makeup and doing my hair more often.

Eyebrows

I’m going out to the “real world” soon so I’m growing my eyebrows to get them professionally shaped. It is such a pain to grow out eyebrows. My eyebrows were shaped really well, but my mom told me they were way too thin. Thank goodness she told me though; I wouldn’t want to walk around looking like that because the thin eyebrows do not fit my face. So, thank you, mom, for critiquing my looks.
