Hair Volume

        Have you ever noticed how full some girl’s hair looks on TV? I am so jealous of their hair because when I look in the mirror, my hair is dead straight and flat. I want that volume. I know I’ve talked about doing certain things to your hair to make my hair have such great volume, but I just don’t have the time for that. I guess waking up earlier to do my make up is one thing, but always waiting until after my hair dries can work, too. I wish I had people to do my hair professionally everyday. Pain is beauty-- the sacrifices we girls have to make to look our best.

Dark Circles

        Everyone at some point will encounter dark circles or under-eye circles. Yes concealer helps, but I usually have to keep re-applying it, so I looked up ways to get rid of and prevent dark circles. One way to prevent dark circles is by place teabags on your eyes. First, you want to soak the teabags in cold water for five minutes. Then, place the teabags on your eyes for ten minutes.

        To prevent dark circles you should drink more water, dehydration can be a big cause of having dark circles. Another prevention is to getting more sleep at night and avoiding caffeine. Eating healthy can also prevent dark circles. There is a lot we can do to prevent dark circles or under-eye circles, it is just a matter of how much we are willing to sacrifice. Ombré & Cherry Coke Red Decision

           In previous posts I was debating whether I should go with an ombré hair color or red with a blonde accent.  Well to follow up on that, I’m going to go with the ombré on the left. I decided this because almost everyone where I live is getting/wanting red hair. So, to be different, the ombré is the perfect look. Hopefully I can pull off such a dramatic blonde since my hair is naturally black. Wish me luck.

        I know the hairdresser is going to try to talk me out of going with such light colors, so I am going to go with Kholé Kardashian’s color. I am in love with Kholé Kardashian’s hair! Her hair is the inspiration for me wanting the ombré hairstyle. When I first saw her hair on Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s, I wanted it because it was something that was not so popular and just beautiful. Today's Look

        I really like this eye makeup. I love the dark lips that go with it, too. I like the bronzer instead of the blush. I always do this eyeshadow, but just not as dark. I used a nude color on the lid, orange-ish brown color on the middle of the lid, and dark brown on the crease. I used a dark red lip-gloss and I also used bronzer.

        I wanted my hair to have a “blow out” look to it, but I didn’t have enough time. So I just curled my bangs. Later I’m going to be doing touch ups, and I’m going to do beach waves instead of a blow out. I hope it will work… When I tried to do beach waves a couple weeks ago, it was just a mess. If that doesn’t work I will just straighten it and pull my bangs back. I found this look on www.pinterest.com/ .

Last Night's Look

        I tried this look last night. When I saw this eyeshadow on Pinterest, it looked like her eyes were brown, but they were hazel. I was a little scared to try it after I noticed her eyes because I didn’t know how the colors would look with my dark brown eyes. Of course, last night at midnight my winged eyeliner worked and I applied false eyelashes. I used white all over the lid, blue on the crease, and brown and orange above the crease. I used black eyeliner on my waterline. Under my waterline I used the same blue all the way across. Then I used pink half way through the blue. I liked the way it turned out, thank goodness. Heels

        I am in love with these heels! I want to cry every time I come across this picture because I can’t have them. The reason why I can’t have them is because they are $1,295.00. I would wear these heels with everything, if I had them! It is crazy how much I adore and want these heels. I’m sure they hurt, but I will live through it because they are so beautiful. Christmas Dress

           I’ve been looking for a Christmas dress that will go with my Louboutins. If I haven’t mentioned it before my Louboutins are nude with the signature red on the bottom. I found this dress and it is beautiful! Sadly, I can only find pictures of the it. So I was searching all over the Internet to find a place to buy this dress, but I couldn’t find it. When I finally found one of course it was sold out. The frustration is real, I just want it because it would go perfect with my heels! If I can’t find this dress I’m going to get the same style just all red. This picture was found on www.pinterest.com/ .

Converse

Converses are so cute! I need to get myself a pair. They are so flat, though, it will make me look shorter than I usually do.  They go with everything, such as bootcut and skinny jeans, as well as leggings. I’ve had a pair once but I have no idea where they went. I loved and hated them because they are beautiful, but the sad thing about them is they are flat. They hurt my feet, but pain is beauty.

Bangs

Growing out bangs, in my opinion, is one of the hardest things! I’m trying to grow out my bangs, and at first it was good, easy, but now I’m ready to chop them off. My bangs are starting to curl in and are so long. Wearing lip-gloss is the worst because my bangs are long enough to reach my lips, and you girls know what it’s like wearing lip-gloss in the wind. I hope when I leave I don’t convince myself to cut them.

Presentations

Today some of my classmates and I are doing a presentation about the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. I always get dressed up, put makeup on. Sadly, today I just dressed up and put foundation on. I want to say I didn’t have time to put my eyeliner on but I just lay in bed until 7:30. I’m wearing a long shirt with leggings and boots. I was going to just do a cat eye with nude or light red lipstick. I love speaking in front of people and especially dressing up.

Eye Makeup

This is such a great look. It has the soft tone to the color to it. The eyeliner makes it so much better, as well; it is the perfect cat eye. I’m not big fan of the heavy eyeliner on the bottom, but it goes great with the purple eyeshadow. I’ve tried this eyeshadow before, but I don’t have the right shade of gold or nude so it didn’t look the way I wanted it to. I need to get more neutral and basic colors, so I can try all of these amazing eyeshadows I find on Pinterest. I’m definitely going to try this eyeshadow again, once I get more palettes of makeup.

Hair Length

I’ve been using Coconut Oil and Length and Strength conditioner and it has been working great! My hair has grown so fast and long! I love it! If anyone is trying to grow out their hair I would suggest using these two products. One down side about using Length and Strength is it has thinned out my hair, but I’m hoping the Coconut Oil will make my hair thicker. Anyways, now I can go back to all my favorite hairstyles I did when I had long hair. I’m going to continue to use Coconut Oil and Length and Strength to make it grow even more.

Caramel Apples

I saw the coolest thing on how to make Caramel Apples.  First you cut the apple in half. It is optional to take off the skin. After you cut the apple in half, take out the core with a spoon. Then pour warm melted caramel into the apple. Put the apples in the fridge for an hour, and sprinkle lemon juice on the apple to prevent from browning. You can find this on www.pinterest.com/ .

Little Girl Hairstyle

This is the cutest hairstyle for little girls ever! I tried this look on my two-year-old cousin; surprisingly I got her to sit still while I did her hair. It was a little difficult to have the rest of the ponytails go into the main ponytail. She was having a blast after I fixed her hair and she got the bottom all sweaty, then she sat down and her hair was just a mess. So I took out the bottom parts of her hair and left top parts of her hair in, which was a new hairstyle. I wish I had taken a picture because she looked adorable. Lips

Almost everyone wants those celebrity lips. There are a couple ways to get those full lips. You can buy lip plumpers, fill them with lip liner and lipstick, or use a toothbrush. I think buying lip plumpers is the easiest route because it is just like applying lipstick or gloss. I’ve only filled in my lips once and it was horrifying. My lips looked like big red blobs. Another thing you can do is use a toothbrush and run it across your lips. The toothbrush will take off the dead skin as well. It rushes all the blood to your lips, which make them look fuller. Those are some ways to have fuller lips.

Rollers

I’ve always wanted to use rollers because I heard they give you great volume. My hair is naturally straight and flat. It is hard to get some volume without curling it. The knots will come out if I tried to tease it. I used rollers one time for my birthday, the rollers were pretty small, so my hair was kind of curly. I haven’t tried to go on Pinterest and look for other alternatives; if rollers don’t work I will look on Pinterest to find more options.  

Bun

Today I styled my hair into a bun with dark eye makeup. When I styled my hair like this before my bun was way bigger and my eyeshadow was a dark blue. This time, I didn’t have my donut so I had to use a sock- improvise. I used brown shades of eyeshadow instead of blue shades. I used a semi-glittery brown for the lid, a solid darker shade of brown for the crease, and added a hint of orange to make the colors pop above the crease. I tried a thick winged liner and heavy mascara. Like I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I am horrible at applying false eyelashes, so super heavy mascara is a “go-to.”
